Branding: Interpretation and Implementation

Overview: Branding is an easily misunderstood and misused term. Many companies fall into the trap of believing that surface graphics and a logo make up a brand. But, there is much more to it than just creating an appearance. Patricia Sliter - Director of Corporate Marketing

Patricia Sliter is director of corporate marketing for Rowe Incorporated and brings 28 years of experience to the company. She is former founder of Start Smart, Inc., an entrepreneurial-focused marketing consulting practice supporting B2B and B2C start-ups worldwide and VisionTech, a professional advisory group leading corporate executive teams of various industries in the realignment of marketing strategies for peak performance. Patricia is a seasoned business development professional who has made significant contributions in the environmental, health care, biosciences, public agency, and not-for-profit segments by providing the critical insight necessary to increase market effectiveness and bolster sales and profitability.

Areas of specialty include market research, strategic planning and positioning, acquisition due diligence, new product delineation, prototype design and testing, branding, customer loyalty/retention programming, and media relations. Patricia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a marketing concentration. She graduated cum laude from Northeastern University and has successfully completed post-graduate studies in the areas of new product development, distribution channel management, and finance.

Patricia is an active member of the American Marketing Association and sits on the Corporate Advisory Committee for the Flint Cultural Center. She is also an active board member for the Humane Society of Genesee County.
